v.
Kevin JOHNSON
No. 2019-K-259
Supreme Court of Louisiana.
May 28, 2019
ON WRIT OF CERTIORARI TO THE COURT OF APPEAL, FIFTH CIRCUIT, PARISH OF JEFFERSON
Writ denied.
Defendant argues he maintained his innocence and pointed his attorneys to two witnesses, Selena Collins and Montero Ursin, but they failed to investigate or interview these witnesses which forced defendant to accept a guilty plea. Selena Collins has now presented an affidavit indicating she was pressured to implicate the defendant.
Defendant's claims are better suited for post-conviction relief with a full evidentiary hearing.
